Glucosamine plays a vital role in the formation of connective tissue, cartilage, and synovial fluid. Since horses are herbivorous grazers, the glucosamine in ReoVit® Gelenk 1.1 is sourced from vegan origins rather than crustaceans, which reduces the risk of allergies. Degenerative joint diseases are not merely due to a deficiency of a single active ingredient; therefore, ReoVit® Gelenk 1.1 also includes essential vitamins and macro- and trace elements that are crucial for the metabolism of the passive musculoskeletal system.

When horses are supplemented with herbal or spice blends, there is a risk of uncontrolled dosing, which can introduce antinutritional substances (toxins) into the body. To ensure precise dosing based on known ingredients and digestibility, we use pure forms of the active compounds. Omega-3 fatty acids are another key component. We avoid supplements in the form of fish oil or other animal-derived oils due to their non-vegan nature. While plant oils could be used, horses lack a gallbladder and can only handle small amounts of oil.
