As continuous eaters with a single-chambered stomach and functional cecum, horses depend on a fiber-rich base feed. Feeding horses also means feeding microbes. ReoVit® Mikrobiota stimulates saliva production, which plays crucial regulatory roles in digestion. Its composition and structure promote prolonged eating, vigorous chewing, and significant saliva flow. The stomach continuously produces gastric acid, which is well mixed with the food mass rather than damaging the stomach lining. This process is essential for effective pH regulation and the smooth functioning of subsequent digestive processes in the stomach, small intestine, and large intestine. The gut microbes in the large intestine produce valuable short-chain fatty acids, water-soluble vitamins, synthesize proteins, and regulate intestinal barrier and immune functions.
